Diesel Mechanic Technician

Position
Summary: Responsible for light and medium maintenance needs on motorcoaches in Central Florida. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Duties:
Maintain sufficient inventories of tools, parts and supplies in order to properly maintain the property and coaches. Keeps storage and shop areas in a neat, well-stocked, clean, organized manner. Does not overstock parts and or supply levels.
Ensures adherence to DOT maintenance intervals (example: 10,000 mile and 90 day inspection). Works with Sebring staff to ensure that resident maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner and that proper follow-through is done.
Regularly inspects coaches and insures required maintenance and repairs are completed, as necessary. This involves inspecting all coaches each day for safety items such as lights, tire conditions, etc.
Travels weekly to other facilities as directed by Sebring maintenance staff.
This position also identifies any issues with respect to safety related to the facility and reports them directly to the Director of Safety and Training.
Occasionally travels with groups of motorcoaches on large concentrated moves.
Cognitive skills required:
Essential Skills:
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Must have ability to read and understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have flexibility in work schedule based upon maintenance needs
Must be able to perform the frequent pushing or pulling of motorcoach components and/or create a resistance force of more than 100 lbs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with drivers and co- workers.
Map Reading, route planning abilities needed.
Must maintain vigilant focus on safety and always use safety equipment provided by Company during maintenance activities.

Physical Skills required:
Essential:
Must be able to perform the frequent pushing or pulling of motorcoach components and/or create a resistance force of more than 100 lbs, including tires which are approximately 150 lbs.
Must be able to frequently reach for tools and motorcoach components at and above waist level.
Must be able to change and mount motorcoach tires.
Prolonged periods may be spent underneath vehicles during service activities
Able to climb ladder for repairs at roof levelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
